Dream #1
My friend is taking a trip to a country that stretches around an inlet. She shows me a map and some pictures in a brochure. The sea in the inlet is warm and much more salty than other oceans. The sun there is very dry and scorching. It is different than other resort towns because instead of artificial security and free drinks, there is an overarching sense of impermanence, of the sun's radiation. Still, people enjoy the water, the fine white sand beaches.
Dream #2
I visited a small town, which promoted itself to tourists as "The Capital of Cute". There are lots of quaint towns but this one was just so cute. The town cultivates this aesthetic. There are cute houses with the sideboards askew just so. There are cute shops of the kind that old ladies go into and comment on how everything is just so cute. Even the sidewalks are cute. They are upholstered with candy colored vinyl.
