History
Pastor Rah began to develop a vision for urban ministry as he attended Columbia University and later seminary at Gordon-Conwell and Harvard Divinity School. Pastor Rah also served on staff for InterVarsity at M.I.T. and was a member of the Church of the Nazarene for some years. After a brief pastorial position at a church in Maryland, Pastor Rah soon returned to the Boston area to plant CCFC and was supported by a church in Maryland, New Covenant Fellowship Church. Meetings began informally with a small group in the spring of 1996. In the fall of 1997, CCFC opened its doors at 234 Franklin St. |
Congregation
The congregation is comprised mainly of college students and young adults and numbers around 200. Although this does create a transient element in the congregation, it also brings in an abundance of resources and gifts as well as expanding the area of influence the church may have. |
