What visual cues might inform consumer selection of movies? In our prototype of the cinema server, the consumer was offered vast array of well designed video boxes from which to make selections.

This paradigm leveraged the consumers attachment to movie genres and the design detail which inherent in the industries packaging of a video cassette. By selecting and examining a video tape box, the consumer can access key personnel, reviews and pictures.

The system was built on a then state-of-the-art Intel 486 computer with current video capability.
