The Dogmatic project addresses the question: what do in an immersive 3-D environment where the viewer can look anywhere -- not necesarily where important plot action is occurring. What devices can we introduce to ensure that the viewer experiences the full narration of a story's plot?

The viewer encounters a 3D computer-animated dog endowed with certain high-level behaviors. The dog plus the presentation mechanism ensures that the viewer sees the full exposition of the plot.

The plot is limited to a single thread; only one audience member can be "in control." Playout requires expensive, specialized equipment.
