Thank you for your letter proposing a lunar landing system employing rendezvous techniques and solid propellant boosters. Both of these ideas are receiving considerable attention in the planning for our advanced space missions.

The recent sub-orbital shot of our first astronaut has given our manned space program new impetus, and we are all looking forward to further conquests in this field. We will certainly bear in mind the suggestions you have made, and we appreciate your interest in the program.
