I was wondering...

Have you ever wondered what it's like to be a professional tennis player? " I started playing tennis when I was six. A group of my friends and I played for fun and I never really took the sport seriously." This is how the 1995 Olympic gold medalist Lindsay Davenport became a professional tennis player.

When she first started playing tennis her parents really supported her in her tennis career; however when she became a professional player, her parents disagreed with the idea because she would need to travel so much. Perhaps her parents felt that she was too young and would miss out on her college education.

Lindsay Davenport accomplished many things in her life. When she was thirteen she was a member of the U.S. National team; she became a pro when she was sixteen. She did not got to college and that is the one thing she regrets.

Have you ever wondered what it is like to be on the tour?

Being a professional tennis player can have its ups and downs. Lindsay Davenport feels that it's fun to be on the pro tour, because she meets new people and she has an opportunity to see the world.
